Released in 1999, PAC-MAN WORLD marked PAC-MAN's entrance into the 3D platforming genre. The first installment of the PAC-MAN WORLD trilogy was a huge success, selling 1.5 million units worldwide. Now, fans' long-awaited remaster is almost here! In PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC, on his birthday, PAC-MAN returns home to discover that the Ghosts have kidnapped his family and friends, ruining his celebration. Determined to save his loved ones, PAC-MAN embarks on a thrilling adventure across the six areas of Ghost Island, ultimately confronting the Ghosts' leader, TOC-MAN.

Featuring enhanced graphics, improved gameplay, and updated elements, PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC promises action-packed platforming entertainment for both seasoned PAC-Fans and new PAC-Enthusiasts around the globe. Leveraging the capabilities of modern gaming hardware, this 3D action-adventure platformer offers smoother and more intuitive gameplay, refreshed visuals that give PAC-MAN and the Ghosts a fresh new appearance, an enhanced user interface, and finely detailed environments.

Players can immerse themselves in the main story mode, known as QUEST MODE, tackle a variety of 3D mazes in MAZE MODE, and unlock the classic original PAC-MAN game by completing QUEST MODE. As they navigate through the Pirate Area, Ruins Area, Space Area, Funhouse Area, Factory Area, and Mansion Area of Ghost Island, players will encounter diverse challenges, including dodging Ghosts and other enemies, solving environmental puzzles, and collecting items.

In addition to running and chomping, PAC-MAN can perform new moves like butt-bouncing, rev-rolling, and hover jumping as he navigates the six areas, collecting PAC-DOTS, fruit, and power-ups. By utilizing power-ups like Metal PAC-MAN to become invincible and walk underwater, players can transform into MEGA PAC-MAN for added abilities.

As players progress through each area, they must locate hidden keys to rescue PAC-MAN's family members and friends, such as PAC-MOM, PAC-BOY, PAC-SIS, Professor PAC, PAC-BUDDY, and Pooka. Each rescue grants PAC-MAN special advantages for the final showdown against the fearsome TOC-MAN.
